Hi,

Unfortunately I can't read any Polish, so the skrzek.com site is not for me... I was at the EastEuropean Rock Concert in Nijmegen (Netherlands/Holland) back in 1979 (I think), and enjoyed both SBB and Omega (from Hungaria).
Later I managed to find some music from SBB and Omega in stores in my country. I still listen to this music quite a lot.

I just want to greet you SBB fans, and want to let you know that Josef Skrzek and SBB have at lease one fan in Holland!

Want to mail me? try moribunt@NOSPAM.yahoo.com and remove the NOSPAM.

Kind regards to you all!

Hey!

It's fine, that You are interested in SBB. I know that some people from Holland were looking for CDs of SBB in 90s in Poland. The CDs were released in 1997, it was imposible to buy them earlier. So may be You aren't the only fun in Holland?

Which records of SBB do You have?

Try to buy some new records with old music, old concerts, it's a few kilos of the best music(Karlstad, Freedom, Getynga).

Best regards!

Tomek

And dont forget NIEMEN band (together with whole SBB). Three magnificient albums should be in Holland stores - Strange Is This World, Ode To Venus, Mourner'r Rhapsody

I recommend espacially Ode To Venus - it's in fact first SBB album, more than Niemen group.

If you want to buy SBB albums, I recommend this site :

www.bobrek.home.pl/cd-silesia/news.htm

regards from Poland

Ps
BTW, you are not only one SBB fan in Netherlands. I have cousin in Eindhoven (dutch, not polish), and he's SBB admirer too.

Hi,

Unfortunately I can't read Polish either, so I venture leaving a message under this thread.

Did anybody go to the recent special show of Jozef and Colin Bass? If so, could you let me/us know how it went? When I heard this news, I found it really interesting, and so I'm curious what they played, etc. I hope they recorded the show and release it...

Thanks,
Keiko

Hi!

Really great show with Colin we recorded to multitrack and will be released in near future. Musicians played songs from they solo carrer (Colin mainly from "An Outcast of Islands" album - "Goodbye to Albion", "As Far As i Can See", "Denpasar Moon"; Joseph played "Eli", "The Golden Harp", "Freedom With Us", "Singer") and a lot of wonderful improvs with space sound of Joseph's minimoog. Encores: "Refugee" & "Chorzow's / Poznan's Pie".

Regards,
Michal Wilczynski

Hi All.

There is a lot of live music by SBB. Have a look at www.cd-silesia.com. All these albums can be purchased on-line. Let me know, if you need any help, we can go through the process of ordering together. Obviously, packages sent abroad will be more expensive but it shouldn't brake your bank account.

By the way...
I remember a Dutch group Living Blues, which had been rather popular in Poland. I still have "Blue Breeze" album in my collection and remember the name of the leader; Ted Odberg. Have you heard anything about him or his old group? Please let me know, if I can get their old albums in Holland.

Kindest regards,

Hello,

At last, I found the right forum, I think...

I was at the Budapest gig on 3 June and enjoyed it a lot! An absolutely great music in a real club atmosphere! Can someone enlighten me, what songs they played?

To the poster who enjoyed Omega: it is indeed a pleasure to hear that (being myself a Hungarian) but there are many other good prog groups! To name the best, it is After Crying, who were the supporting band of SBB on their Budapest gig. See http://www.aftercrying.hu/
